COVID-19 Testing Information

You have come into Integrity Urgent Care and completed your COVID test - so now what? Learn more below.

When will I receive my COVID Test results?

Results are typically available in 24 hours – 48 hours. As the number of people being tested for COVID-19 increases, this number may fluctuate due to variables outside of our control. Some tests can take up to 4 days.

How will I be notified of my results?

You can check the status of your results on the Advanta Lab website at: https://www.aalabs.com

When you log on for the first time you will be prompted to sign up (create a new account). You will need to have an account to review your results.

If you attempt to retrieve your results and you see a message that says "we were unable to locate your patient information" it doesn't mean they don't have your sample, it simply means that the lab has not run your sample yet. Wait 4-6 hours and try again.

Phone call requests to speed up the lab resulting process will not be possible by the clinic or lab. All labs are performed as they are received by the lab team.

Interpreting Your Results

POSITIVE

A "positive" result means that you have or had COVID at the time the swab was done.

INCONCLUSIVE

An "inconclusive" result means that the lab detected one of the two markers for COVID. This typically means that at the time the swab was performed you were going into (about to become sick) or coming out of (recovering from) COVID.

NEGATIVE

A "negative" result means that no detection of COVID was found when your swab was performed.

I tested positive for COVID. What should I do?

If you test positive for the virus that causes COVID-19, the CDC recommends the following steps to protect others regardless of your COVID-19 vaccination status:

  • Isolate at home and isolate away from others for at least 10 days, even if you do not have any symptoms.
  • If you develop symptoms, continue to isolate for at least 10 days after symptoms began as long as symptoms have improved, and no fever is present for at least 24 hours without use of fever-reducing medications.
  • Most people have mild COVID-19 illness and can recover at home without medical care, but you should contact your healthcare provider as soon as possible if you are more likely to get very sick because of being an older adult or having underlying medical conditions or if your symptoms get worse. I tested negative for COVID, but I am having symptoms. What should I do?

You may have received a false negative test result and still might have COVID-19. You should isolate away from others until you feel better and are symptom free for 72 hours. You should contact your healthcare provider if your symptoms worsen.
